Apsara River Cruises by Banyan Tree will start operating dining and overnight cruises on the Chao Phraya River in 2007. Apsara I is a 60 seat solid teak wood rice barge and will offer sunset and dinner cruises every day. Apsara II has one air-conditioned bedroom with en-suite and spa treatment room, and will take honeymooners on a romantic journey to Ayuthaya.

Thailand has been voted the “best country brand for value for money” by the global brand consultancy, Future Brand Company Limited. The vote was based on a survey of online blogs and phone calls to more than 1,500 international travellers, aged 21 to 65 years old, as well as worldwide travel experts.

Lebua Hotels and Resorts will invest 800 million baht to develop a tented villa resort in the northern Thai town of Chiang Rai. Phase one will involve the development of 18 tented villas to be completed in 2008.
