Chiang Mai - Pai - Jungle Camp - Tham Lod - Mae Hong SonTraveling through the rivers and valleys of Pai you will find a land of rugged beauty and ancient cultures. Just a short drive from Chiang Mai- or a scenic flight- you'll find a slower pace of life and timeless landscapes, the perfect setting for a family Thailand tour. Over five-days both kids and adults will be entertained as well as enlightened through a series of soft adventures in the great north. Start your north Thailand tour with a bike ride through the Pai valley, an introduction to the diverse landscapes of the region. Pass waterfalls, hilltribe villages and sweeping valleys stopping as often as you like to enjoy the views or chat with the friendly locals. The cycling is easy enough to be enjoyed by the whole family and a rewarding start to your Thailand tour package. We offer two options for overnight excursions, allowing your family to create your own Thailand tour based on your preference. Take to the water with a river rafting journey to a jungle camp or take a light trek to limestone caves and a village homestay. Both itineraries not only showcase the beauty of the Pai valley but also provide insight to the local culture and traditional ways of life. Your trek or rafting trip continues on the fourth day of this Thailand tour, taking you to the town of Mae Hong Son. Stretching to the Burmese border, this charming hamlet is known for its unspoiled scenery and culture which your family will explore on back of an elephant and by longtail boat. Capping off your Thailand tour is a visit to a longneck Karen village and then a transfer back to Chiang Mai. Still off the beaten track for many travelers, Pai is a picturesque setting for a family holiday.
