It's an early start on your first day as you take the bus to Lake Kawaguchiko, an onsen resort at the base of Mt Fuji. Here you will meet your guide whom will help you in reaching the summit of this awe inspiring mountain and instantly recognizable landmark. Begin your climb to the 5^th station, located 2300 meters above sea level. From this point the summit climb takes about 5-6 hours. Stay overnight on the mountain and enjoy a healthy dinner. Fuji is not a technical peak, but not everyone successfully reaches the summit. The most important factor affecting the success rate is the time you spend acclimatizing on the mountain, so your guide will take you up at a comfortable pace.

Around midnight its time to depart the 5^th station and commence your final ascent of the mountain under the cover of the stars at night. Arrive at the summit just before sunrise, just enough time to grab a hot drink and take a seat to watch the light break over the horizon. After breakfast on the summit it's time to head back down which takes about 3 hours. Admire breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape as you make your way back down and spend the night in a traditional Japanese style ryokan accommodation complete with tatami mats, shoji rice paper sliding doors and a hot onsen spring bath. Dine on a delicious kaiseki meal served by waitresses in Kimonos. Spend your final night in Kawaguchiko before departing for Tokyo by bus at your leisure.

Head to Lake Kawaguchiko at the base of Mt Fuji where you will meet your guide. From here we hike to the 5^th station, the starting point for the ascent to the summit. Arriving at the 5^th station about 5pm, we stay here for the night.

Overnight on Mt Fuji.

Around midnight its time to begin the final ascent of Mt Fuji. Arrive at the summit just before sunrise. After breakfast it's time to head back down to the 5^th station. In the evening dine on a delicious kaiseki multi course meal.

Overnight in Kawaguchiko.
