Ease your way into your Ubud soft adventure Bali tour with an orientation walk around Ubud, visiting markets and the palace of the local royal family. Amble through the town center stopping at the eclectic shops, fabulous cafes and art shops as you wish.

After a relaxing first day it is time to get your adrenaline pumping with a half day white water rafting adventure. Passing over class II and III rapids, the 14 kilometer route takes you through narrow gorges and lush jungle with chances to stop and swim in the clear waters. Then return to dry land for an easy one hour trek through the rice paddies as the sun is setting.

Your next adventure is by open-air convertible jeep, taking you into the center of the island along secondary roads passing by small villages to a series of spectacular lakes, surely one of the most photographic spots you will see on your Bali tour. Then you will venture to the top of Mt Batur, by jeep or on foot, for an exhilerating downhill bike ride.

Welcome to Bali! Transfer to Ubud, the island's cultural capital and your base for this soft adventure tour. An orientation walk through the town will introduce you to the rich history and traditions of the island.

Overnight in Ubud.

Venture to the foothills of Mount Agung for a morning of whitewater rafting along the Telaga Waja River. With a paddling guide, you'll pass over class II and III rapids as you make your way down this scenic river. After drying off and refueling, pay a visit to Besakih, one of the island's most important temples, and then take a sunset walk through the rice terraces. Relax this evening by attending a performance of traditional dance.

Overnight in Ubud.

Today a different kind of adventure takes you deep into the heart of Bali's Northern and Western regions. You'll travel along secondary roads by VW 181 convertible stopping at the spectacular Taman Ayun, three incredible volcanic lakes as well as the local village of Munduk. Continuing through the afternoon you will also traverse iconic rice terraces and coffee plantations as you loop back to Ubud.

Overnight in Ubud.

This morning starts with a downhill bike ride on the slopes of Mt Batur, the island's second highest volcano. Stopping frequently, you'll have time to observe the breathtaking scenery and meet locals in the villages as you make your way to the base. (For early birds, an optional trek to the top of Mt Batur to watch the sunrise over Lake Batur and surroundings can be arranged prior to cycling.) Treat yourself to a massage at the end of today before transferring to the airport or your next destination on Bali.
