OVERVIEW

Spend a day exploring Bali’s west coast by bike, a fun way for outdoor enthusiasts to see the fascinating landscapes of the island. With your Exotissimo guide on this Exploring West Bali by Bike day trip, the two-hour downhill ride from Belimbing to the coast takes you past small villages and breathtaking viewpoints to the black sands of the west, where there is time to relax on the beach or go horseback riding.

PROGRAM DETAILS

This morning drive to Belimbing with your Exotissimo guide and driver. The 2.5 hour drive takes you through some of Bali's most spectacular inland countryside. The terraced farms in this area are beautiful and amazingly immaculate. Upon reaching Belimbing, you will be fitted for your bike and helmet and given a short safety briefing.

Begin pedaling, following quiet, narrow tracks downhill to the west coast. During the two hour ride you will pass through many villages and viewpoints. There are plenty of chances to stop for photos or to chat with the local people.

Having worked up an appetite, after your ride you'll stop at Gaja Minah restaurant to refuel. Then transfer to nearby Balian beach where you can relax on the unspoiled black sandy beach.

Optional: Horseback riding on the beach. Spend 1-2 hours on horseback, riding along the sand and through small villages.

On the way back, stop to visit Tanah Lot Temple, one of Bali's most famous landmarks. The temple is set dramatically on a small island about 100m off the coast and is a popular place for local Hindu pilgrims. After your visit continue back to your hotel or stop for an optional seafood dinner at Melasti restaurant in front of the Temple (additional charges will apply). (L)
