Detailed Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Phuket – Khao Sok L,D
Transfer through the beautiful Phang Nga province and on to Khao Sok National Park. On arrival settle in your jungle lodge where lunch will be taken. In the afternoon, warm up trek from your lodge through rubber plantation and low jungle, crossing from time to time the Sok River, until reaching a cave inhabited by dozens of Monkeys. The “resident” monk of the cave speaks excellent English and the opportunity is ideal to discuss further about meditation methods and Buddhism before the next legs of your adventures! Overnight in Khao Sok.

Day 2 - Khao Sok – Tang Nam – Khao Sok B,L,D
Breakfast at Khao Sok Riverside Cottage. Transfer to the main entrance of the National Park. Visit of the visitors’ center “exposition”. Trek from visitors’ center to Bang Hua Reed. This first part of the trek is pretty easy as the trail is wide and well maintained. Short half way break at Bang Hua Reed. This part is tougher but you will need to go through it to reach Tang Nam and its two majestic cliffs! It can be located on the deep end of the Sok canal and serves as the habitat for a variety of fish species. Picnic lunch and time to swim or relax in Tang Nam. Trek back from Tang Nam to the entrance of the National Park. Dinner at your cottage. Overnight in Khao Sok.

Day 3 - Khao Sok B,L,D
Breakfast at Khao Sok Riverside Cottage. Today is an easy day before the transfer to the dam. Start at the elephant camp, here you can see, touch and find out about the life of Thai elephants. Your guide will explain about the life of the mahout, the man who takes care of the elephant. Trekking on elephant back is a unique experience here in the rainforest, what better way is there to get a bird”s eye view of nature. Back at the cottages for lunch. After lunch take a jungle river canoe trip down the Sok river. The canoes are very stable and safe, life jackets are provided as well as a local river guide to paddle the canoe. Drift along the jungle river passing limestone mountains and cliffs covered with exotic tropical vegetation. Some times hornbill can be seen flying high overhead or reptiles basking in the sun on the riverbanks. From the canoe you can experience a world that has changed little in thousands of years. Overnight in Khao Sok.

Day 4 - Khao Sok – Chew Larn Lake B,L,D
Breakfast at Khao Sok Riverside Cottage. Transfer to Rajapraba Dam (1h). Board a local long tail boat and depart for a trip on the lake to your floating bungalows. On arrival settle in your raft houses. Lunch at your raft houses. In the afternoon continue by long tail boat for a trip to the starting point of a trek on the eastern banks of the lake. Start with a short warm up walk uphill on a wide trail. Leave the wide trail to penetrate the rain forest. Passing hundred years old trees and surrounded by the gibbon’s calls, finally reach the inner lake of Haroy Rai. An original raft-boat will be waiting to take you to discover the mysterious “Coral Caves”. Visit of the coral caves. Transfer by raft boat back to the continuation point of your trek. Back on an easy and wide trail to your boat. Transfer back to your raft house including a relaxing animal spotting aboard your boat. Dinner at your raft house. Overnight in Plern Phai Rafthouses.

Day 5 - Chew Larn Lake - Phuket B,L
Breakfast at your raft bungalows. Transfer by boat to the starting point of your trek which will take you deep into the rainforest. Start walking through a rainforest teeming with thick bamboo, thorny rattan, pandanus and other tropical flora. Stop for picnic lunch in the jungle. Continue walking until reaching a small village from where a pick up will take you to the main road where you will rendezvous with your air conditioned vehicles that will take you back to Phuket.
