Depart your hotel at 8.30 am for Chiang Dao Young Elephants Training Camp, 56 km or 35 miles from Chiang Mai. Enjoy a one- hour elephant riding into the thick forest surrounding the camp before watching the elephants taking their morning bath in the running stream. After their bath, the trainers and elephants will demonstrate a number of their skills for you.
Depart on your biking adventure trip along the beautiful and peaceful paved and dirt rural roads to an Akha hill tribe village and a Palong (new immigrants from Myanmar) hill tribe village. Then, continue your tour to the beautiful Orchid Nursery where more than 50 types of orchids bloom year-round. You will also visit a Butterfly Farm where you will see numerous colorful and rare butterflies. Local lunch is provided en route. Note: This tour is operated by car/ minivan only. |

Depart your hotel in Chiang Mai at 7.30 am for your one-hour drive up north to Lisu Lodge where you pick up your mountain bike and cycle for 1 hour or so along quiet, easy country roads through serene rural scenery to the Mae Tang River where you are met by your elephant. Climb uphill and ride along narrow jungle tracks for about 1 hour, with views of mountains and the river below, to the rafting camp. You will have a picnic lunch in this beautiful spot before boarding a rubber raft after a brief training session, and paddle downstream through the sometimes calm, sometimes exciting waters of Mae Taeng River. Disembark and climb aboard a local vehicle for a visit to an exotic and very friendly Akha hill tribe village where you take tea with a family and meet the fascinating old witch doctor when he's in. Your mountain bikes will be delivered to the village for a 45 minute cycling trip back to Lisu Lodge before returning to Chiang Mai around 7.00 pm.

Not far from the bustling Sukhumvit area of Bangkok, a green place well known to the locals, Bang Kra Jao, is uncommonly situated. This Bangkok's remarkable jungle can only be reached by boat. Crossing the Chao Phraya River, you will encounter a peaceful local area with plenty of tropical vegetation, waterways, temples, small villages and real woodland. This is a nice easy ride through the local communities along minor roads, canal paths, passing villages, schools and temples, gardens and jungle. Visit a delightful floating market (open on weekends only), an incense workshop where you have refreshments and see how this local industry operates.
